Wild Copy Co.’s mission: to empower oceanpreneurs with clear messaging that powers business growth and positive impact.

Hey! I’m Estelle

Founder & Lead Copywriter at Wild Copy Co.

I’ve spent nearly a decade translating complex ideas into compelling stories. I started out as a journalist, writing magazine features, before retraining as a copywriter, specialising in websites for eco and wellness businesses.

It was while living on a remote Scottish island that I decided I needed to do more for Planet Ocean. The island was magical (think deer, whisky and wild swimming), but it also showed me just how far-reaching ocean plastic pollution really is.

After joining an ocean innovation program in 2023, I launched Wild Copy Co. to help oceanpreneurs sell their ideas with copy that’s clear and compelling.

These days you’ll find me in Kiama, NSW (Dharawal Country) – surfing, sunrise swimming in the ocean pool or pottering with my rescue greyhound, Buster.

If you’re out here making waves, I’d love to help you get your words right.

A bit about me

  • I’m originally from Watford, an English town just northwest of London. Think red-brick council houses, rain-soaked streets, a canal and a big shopping centre.
  • These days, home is Kiama, Dharawal Country, Australia, where the sea sparkles, lush hills roll and cabbage tree palms sway.
  • Before Australia, I lived on the remote Isle of Jura for four years. There were 212-ish people, 5,000+ red deer, three mountains, a whisky distillery, the world’s third-largest whirlpool, and Jura wild swimmers (we swam all year round, in water as cold as 7°C!).
  • I have a First Class degree in English Literature from Exeter University (Falmouth, Cornwall campus).
  • I hold an NCTJ Level 3 Diploma in Journalism and have written for publications such as Geographical Magazine and BBC Wildlife.
  • I have a 10-year-old ex-racing greyhound called Buster (he’s black with tiny white ‘snowflakes’).
  • Outside of Wild Copy Co., I love surfing, doing yoga, sunrise swims in ocean pools and cooking wholesome vegetarian meals.
